The shopping season is about to start, and we have consumerism heaven right around the corner. That’s right – Black Friday 2017 is just a couple of days away, in what is known as the constellation Super Discounts. With price cuts as low as 90%, it is the biggest e-commerce event each year. Getting ready for the rush, we decided to put together a list of the best fitness items in every category.

When Black Friday arrives, it slashes prices across industries. You can say that electronics, apparel and trending items are affected the most, but there is always one gem that completely negates this stereotype.

Fitness technology

During the last couple of years, I’ve seen fitness equipment selling at surprisingly low discount prices, easily outranking other categories on Amazon.

Fitness technology, especially heart rate monitors, is a favorite category of mine and I always expect huge cuts there. Considering how valuable these items are (often times necessary), and how convenient they are for a Christmas gift, my advice is to buy fitness trackers exclusively on Black Friday.

Fitness trackers

For the amateur enthusiast, fitness trackers are a great way of gamifying each workout. Tracking a garden variety of stats, they provide data for every workout, regardless of type or intensity.

And while feature-rich has become the norm, and design brilliance is almost expected, accuracy is what many people are concerned with the most. Below is a short list with carefully selected fitness trackers. We paid attention to number of features, affordability, customer feedback, and overall quality. Have a look.

Heart rate monitors

Taking a step forward, we have heart rate monitors. Intended for the serious runner, or a dedicated fitness veteran these provide far more accurate data, including, of course, heart rate measurements.

Slightly more expensive, they justify the cost with better quality, more attention to detail, and much more accurate tracking. For someone who needs to pay attention on pulse and read data collected from a single workout as well as a longer streak, a heart rate monitor can be considered a necessity.

If you are serious about fitness, you probably understand the importance of having a strong core. Losing weight is easier when you start with the core, but ab workouts can be rather tough. Investing in core and abdominal trainers, therefore, is a smart move.

Coupled with bodyweight exercises, and easy to use, these pieces of fitness equipment can greatly supplement your abdominal training. The ab wheel roller kit is perfect for every beginner and certainly qualifies for a gift as well. Let’s hope this Black Friday includes a lot of discounts for core and abdominal trainers as well. Step machines

Easy to use and surprisingly effective, step machines were very popular throughout 2017. Targeting the glutes, hamstrings, butt and calves, these convenient machines hold the key to having nicely toned and sexy legs.

My wife, who’s always been a lazy cat, recently bought herself one of these. Though she is still working out with me, it’s not rare for her to ditch a solid workout in favor of the stepping machine.

You probably notice how I don’t like to mention the model nor the brand she bought, and that’s because we are not really pleased with the quality. So if there is a Black Friday discount on step machines this year, I’m the first one buying. These is my list of favorites, so I’ll be returning to this page as much as any of you.

Exercise bikes

Gaining unprecedented popularity back in the 80’s only to fade away in the past decade, spinning is once again returning to the spotlight. Exercise bikes are a pricey investment, but pay dividends down the road.

Targeting the entire lower body, including glutes, hamstrings, claves and butt; as well as the entire abdomen, lower back and numerous parts of the upper body, the exercise bike can help you burn up to 1000 calories, toning every muscle in the process. I’m hoping we will see a price drop in this category, so here is a list of exercise bikes to pay attention to during this year’s Black Friday.

Treadmills

A default inventory in every commercial gym, Treadmills have seen a huge spike in sales when e-commerce took off. Not affordable by any measure, these fitness behemoths are the most effective cardio equipment, with what is probably the least expensive price per use.

Featuring an extensive range of fitness programs, treadmills are about to sell even more with the ongoing innovation in VR (virtual reality) technology. Till then, running in place is still much more favorable to not running at all.

I hope that this 2017 Black Friday is the year when treadmills see a huge discount. My sister in law is a gym addict and a low cardio fanatic, and it would be great if we can surprise her with a treadmill. Here is a list of personal favorites.

Whereas there is a debate over whether or not some fitness items are necessary, inversion equipment is a bird of another feather. Though considerably less popular, it is a life saver when you need it badly. For people with back issues or a variety of spine related problems, inversion equipment represents the difference between a tolerable pain and constant misery.

Having to deal with lower back pain recently, I can attest to the wonders of inversion therapy, and insist on putting invasion equipment right along foam rollers, or any other more traditional fitness related therapeutically product.
